People are like a Book

I think people are like books. In every person there is a story which varies in length, experience, and essence🛠

When you first see a book, you see the cover. Although first impressions are crucial, they do not define what is on the inside.

As humans we are told not to judge people just as the famous quote explains, “don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” There is so much more to a person or novel that just a “cover”.

A cover or outside of a person doesn’t show the experiences or relationships or failures and triumphs of a story, but as the pages unfold, the stories unfold as well.

Within the book, the pages and chapters may vary in length and quantity, but it is truly what is within the pages that matter. This is where the real magic happens.
The core of one’s being is not based on the cover or title page, but the story of one’s experiences, failures, and what truly makes people who they are.

As the story moves along characters come and go, the plot changes, and growth occurs. Change happens. Life happens. That is where the aspect of humanity comes into a novel.While the plot of novels are always changing, the book itself it too. Some books may be older than others as their pages may be withered or torn.

This is not a sign of brokeness, but of wisdom and worth as the book has been through a great deal. Some books are new and some have been read thousands and thousands of time. This doesn’t add worth to the novel, just experience.

Now in all the hundreds and thousands of books that you will come across in your entire life, there are bound to be some that would stand out, some that would be forgotten, and some that would be left behind.

As it is, we have to move on from one book to the next. With people, it is an inevitable phenomenon to be fleeting creatures, in constant search for new experiences, new sensations. There is, after all, only one life that we are given to live.

So when you meet a new person, look past there cover and get to know what truly makes up their life, chapters, and pages.
